My 3D animation demo reel from 2009. Made entirely in Autodesk Softimage and edited in Adobe Premiere (Pro?). Mostly used the rig named 'Guy', though I'm not sure where it originates from.

Breakdown:
0:13-0:33 - Store- Two guys in line at the cashier when injury and hilarity ensues. Animated and rendered in Autodesk Softimage, used simple shapes for props.
0:33-0:40 - Walk- Simple walk cycle. Animated and rendered in Autodesk Softimage.
0:40-0:43 - Gremlin- 'Sock gremlin' character model made by a friend for a computer game. In this quick animation he gets knocked over then jumps back up. Animated and rendered in Autodesk Softimage.
0:43-0:56 - Police- Initially made for the 11 Second Club (11secondclub.com), but ended up not making it in time because I started late in the month. I believe the audio is from a movie named "In The Heat Of The Night". In my interpretation, one cop is berating another drunk one. Animated (including lip-sync) and rendered in Autodesk Softimage, modelled and textured a simple set.
0:57-1:09 - Just a silly little dance loop for the credits. Animated and rendered in Autodesk Softimage.
Hope you enjoy!

First Animation WIPs
I'm Tyler Ellis, and this is my animation blog. To kick things off, these are my current 3d animation WIPs:
My current WIP of an acting-based animation. At this point it's just the key frames with no animation.
Two guys are at a store checkout line. A loose sign falls on the front guy.
My current WIP of a lip-sync-based animation. So far I really only have the basic movements and still need to do the lip-sync, facial animation, and some inbetweens and settles and whatnot. I actually have the first half of the lip sync, but I might need to redo it to give it more character.
I believe the audio is from In the Heat of the Night.
A quick walk cycle I made for animation practice. Took about an hour and a half.
Of course they all need a lot more work, but it's the stage I'm at thus far. I'll try to keep this blog updated as I progress. Also check out the list of other blogs on the right.
